Strengths:

Kind While it might not always seem like it, Mika can be quite kind. It may not always be apparent in the way he brushes people off but in the way he keeps his mouth shut. Not only does he have a giant soft spot for children but also goes out of his way to protect others from a horrible truth that would cost them their lives. He may say it's because that is none of his business but Mika doesn't want to see others lose their family too. Due to the harsh cruelty of the world, it's difficult to step in and save everyone but he pulls himself back from hurting children when the bloodlust clouds his mind. His kindness tends to show the most whenever around Yuichiro, the one person Mika truly cares for. It's because of Yuu that he's accepted working alongside others no matter how much he wanted to simply run away or even kill them. Unlike others, he doesn't typically enjoy having to kill humans or vampires but will if it's becomes necessary. Patient For the most part, Mika is quite the patient individual. He waited four years while amongst vampires in order to be able see Yuu again. In all of that time, he not only lived among the creatures that terrorized his family but also killed most of them. While he wasn't always nice to them, he didn't stir up too much trouble that would result in his death. Patience is one thing that has carried over from his human days when Mika waited years before putting his escape plan into action. When Yuu goes under - whether it be due to the demon or seraph - he waits for the other teen to wake up without putting up much of a fuss. He handles Yuu's demon side patiently, not rising to the obvious attempts to rile him up. Though it should be said that when Mika does lose his patience often has to do with Yuu - typically when the other teen is in danger. Intelligent There is one aspect of Mika that has stayed the same and that's his intelligence. As a child, he plotted their escape by allowing Ferid to drink his blood so that he could search his place for a map. On top of getting a map, he also got a gun to protect them. While he failed to see that it was a trap, Mika knew that they couldn't take the vampires straight on and they would have to sneak out. Being only eight when he was taken as livestock means that Mika didn't have much of an education but he does know how to read, write and some other basic things. Still, he has a fairly strategic mind for someone with his background. It doesn't always compare to those who are older but he does pretty well thinking a few steps ahead and also thinking on his feet. Mika was even able to trick older vampires when necessary.

Weaknesses:

Self-sacrificing/Selfish Mika is both ready to sacrifice himself and yet selfish at the same time. As a child, he put his life on the line in order to save Yuu and was ready to die instead of becoming a vampire. In more recent history, Mika was willing to stand between Yuu and both humans and vampires in order for the other teens to escape despite the fact that he likely would have died in the process. He put himself through extreme torment by refusing to drink human blood for years until his most important person insisted. While Mika is absolutely willing to die for Yuu's sake, he also wants to be the only person in Yuu's life. There are several times when Mika tries to take Yuu away from others entirely, even when their lives were on the line. He wants the two of them to run away and just live without anyone else to interfere with their lives. Distrusting After everything that's happened, Mika is extremely distrustful of everyone - humans and vampires alike. He's spent enough time around vampires to know that they care for very little except their own amusement. Yet he doesn't trust humans much more after learning that they've experimented on others, even himself and Yuu. It takes a great deal for someone to earn Mika's trust and they may not even gain it entirely. There are a few people he doesn't trust at all, including Ferid - the vampire who killed his family and Guren - a human supposedly responsible for the virus. While the others seem to come around to trust Guren, Mika stands by what he believes and has even stated that he would kill the man if it came down to that. Due his distrusting nature, Mika can come off cold and distant with others who try to insert themselves into his life. He may even brush them off or ignore them entirely if they keep trying or for those more persistent individuals, he might even get irritated and annoyed with them. Losing Humanity Mika has finished the transformation into a full vampire and while that comes with phyiscal benefits, it has emotional consequences. As time goes by, he starts to lose the parts of him that make him human. Meaning that emotions may one day escape him entirely and leave him as nothing more than a shell of his old self. A creature who cares for nothing and no one except for himself - who toys with others for the sheer entertainment. At this point in time, he still exhibits a few emotions but can say for certain that the one person he truly cares about is Yuu. Mika doesn't exactly have grand plans of bringing the rest of their family or deep caring emotions about the others around him though he hasn't yet lost his morals. Despite his lack of deep emotions, he can still figure out what is right and wrong in this world.

Powers/Abilities:

Vampire: First and foremost is his bloodlust. Every vampire in OnS needs to drink blood to survive and not turn into demons and Mikaela is no exception to that. He refused to drink human blood and only partook of the blood of his creator for the first four years. Due to the fact that Mika didn't drink human blood, his strength was actually lesser than it should be. He also still aged. Of course, in order to get blood he possess a set of typical vampire fangs. These are visible when he speaks. At this point he has had human blood so he has stop getting older and gained "immortality" along with an increase of strength. The moment he drank human blood his eyes changed from blue to red to signify the transition. There are other physical changes, such as the fact that Mika no longer needs to sleep, eat or do any of the human daily rituals. His blood is black and some bodily functions have ceased such as breathing, his heart no longer beats, he generates no heat. All Mika needs is blood to survive. Enhanced sight also falls under this category. He can see things from great distances and has excellent night vision. He has an enhanced sense of smell, capable of detecting even the faintest of smells. Also enhanced hearing and can hear sounds from miles away, though he has learned to filter out a lot of random noise. Mikaela has at least seven times the strength of a regular human. This means he could easily pick up a car and toss it. Picking someone up is incredibly easy and he could even snap a bone with ease. He has also chopped a limb off when provoked. Dealing with a creature who has a hard outer casing is simple such as the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Because his strength is enhanced, it also allows him to move faster. He can be in one spot one second and be in a different one in the blink of an eye if needed. Of course, this means that Mika can use his strength and speed to scale buildings in a matter of seconds.. The vampires in OnS also appear to be typical vampires in the fact that they can't withstand the sunlight without proper protection. It's been revealed that once in the sun, they will burn without dying - it is so painful that even vampires who have lived hundreds of years would scream. However, they can go outside during the day if they possess special armbands. These armbands are basically spells that protect them from the harmful rays. It is to be noted that vampires are capable of becoming demons should they go without human blood for too long. Another way for them to become a demon is if their heart is removed from their body for a long period of time. Vampires can go three days before the thirst becomes too great and their lose their sense of self - ready to attack the nearest warm body with a pulse. Mika has extraordinary control having denied himself human blood for four years. Regeneration: As a vampire, he's also granted regeneration capabilities. He can recover from minor wounds almost instantly and even fatal ones fairly quickly. Before Mika became a vampire he had been stabbed through the chest and his right arm severed. His regeneration is so powerful that not only was his life saved but his arm was reattached. Of course, the more injured he is the more his bloodlust rises. There is only one kind of weapon that has an effect on his regeneration capabilities and those are the anti-vampire weapons that the human army has in his canon. These are weapons that contain demons and they can prevent a wound from healing. If stabbed with one of these weapons, he has to undergo a purification treatment to remove the curse. This is done with a machine and can take days. NOTE: Since there are other canons that have anti-vampire weapons (ex. Vampire Knight, Vampire Game, etc.), I'm more than willing to have these work on Mikaela. Turning: Technically, Mika is capable of turning humans into vampires by letting them drink his blood but the chances that he'd inflict this state on anyone else are extremely low. Sword: While it should be noted that he's very capable with a sword, Mika's sword in particular is special. It is a first-class vampire sword that cannot be wielded by just any common vampire. It's capable of drinking his blood and sprouts red vines that wrap around his hand, while the blade itself turns red. The more blood it drinks, the more enhanced his strength and speed is. Seraph: On top of being a vampire, Mika carries the gene of something called a Seraph. After being abandoned by his parents, he was taken into an orphange where they proceeded to experiment on all of the children. Currently there is not a lot of information regarding Mikaela's seraph gene other than the fact that he contains the Michaela trait. All Seraphs have different abilities based on the number of their trumpets - as of yet canon has only revealed Yuu to be the 2nd trumpet, the 5th and 6th have also been shown. So far all of the Seraphs have been revealed to have wings and are able to fly with them. Each of them appear to have their own set of special abilities as well. Canonly, he has yet to show any abilities pertaining to this but still possesses the ability to complete this transformation even after becoming a vampire. Chances are that (like the others) he will be extremely powerful, near impossible to control and be out to destroy humans. It's likely that he won't remember anything that happens after as well. There will be more added to this section as it comes up in canon but for now, he won't be able to do anything. It will remain dormant until there is more information of Mika's Seraph abilities in canon.

Other Noteworthy Traits:
Mika is a pretty good fighter, with or without the sword. As a child he beat up Yuu and has defeated many other individuals since then.

Color: Blue. It was the color of his eyes for four years after becoming a vampire, the color signified how he refused to drink human blood in all that time. I would like the hex code #6495ed.
